Students 2.0
For decades, students have been stuck in classrooms, behind desks, being told how and what to learn. For a time, when students were expected to become widgets for the vast machine of industry, this model of education was highly effective. However, we have now entered a new age: an age where thinking is more important than knowing, where thoughts out-do the facts. Borders are melting away; project teams collaborate across the globe and intelligence is being continually redefined. The world’s information is at our fingertips and anybody can publish their thoughts for virtually no cost.

flickr sperrt uns aus! Und auch dich!
Seit 12.06.2007 werden für deutsche Nutzer keine Bilder mehr angezeigt, die als ‘moderate’ oder ‘restricted’ markiert sind! Es gibt keine Moeglichkeit das umzustellen - das ist eine grobe Unverschämtheit und Frechheit von flickr!

Deswegen treten wir gemeinsam in Aktion und zeigen allen, das uns das nicht gefällt was flickr mit uns macht! Füge das Bild zu deinen Favoriten hinzu und poste es!

If your Yahoo! ID is based in Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong or Korea, you will only be able to view safe content based on your local Terms of Service, and therefore won’t be able to turn off SafeSearch.
In other words, german users can’t access photos on flickr that are not flaged “safe” … only flowers and landscapes for the germans …

How to work with RSS

Work less, achieve more
Working in ePedagogy contexts often means to work online. David Krug put together a list about 5 Ways to Work Less and Get More Done Online. In his opinion the five key points are:
- Restrict your work hours to increase efficiency.
- Create a map for your day.
- Schedule times to check email.
- Relax and don’t try to force yourself to work harder.
- Cut yourself some slack.

Support of informal learning in adult education by social software
The first step is done. This is a translation of a blogentry I made in my german language blog. It is about my first exam on my way becoming pedagogue. Improve your learning

What makes a good Logo
Garr Reynolds is discussing about criterias of good or bad logos based on this years fifa world-cup logo in his blog.
According to Paul Rand (1914-1996), the effectiveness of a logo depends on several elements including;
• Distinctiveness
• Visibility
• Usability
• Memorability
• Universality
• Durability
• Timelessness
Read his article and proof logos you see on this seven criterias 
In my opinion there are several very bad logos out there but I am pretty satisfied with the “red cross” for example.
